Client is committed to employing talented, motivated, and experienced personnel throughout the Company. This Job Description establishes and defines the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties, and measures of performance of the Insurance Project Manager (IPM)
The IPM's main purpose is to develop new business opportunities, manage accounts, and execute the day to day operations of project management as stipulated by the training manager and
outlined in the Project Management Procedures and Work Authorization documents. The IPM is to maintain responsibility for the overall activities of projects captured and/or assigned.
The IPM reports directly to, and is fully accountable to the COO or Sales Manager of the Company.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute on all areas outlined within this job description in a satisfactory manner.

Traveling will be required about 80% of the time within Southern California This position requires the ability to generate cost proposals based on client defined scopes of work, primarily for Asbestos
Abatement, Lead-Based Paint Removal, and Mold Remediation Projects and overall day-to-day oversight for captured and/or assigned projects.
The IPM must demonstrate the ability to follow direction, and then take the lead.
The IPM has the ability to move from task to task throughout the day with minimal direction and supervision.
The IPM is fearless and able to ask for help, as needed. This job requires a student mentality. The IPM understands this is not a 9-5 position, and may require occasional night and weekend work.
The IPM maintains a positive attitude, and if ever troubled, comes directly to their respective manager, the COO or Sales Manager.
The IPM is expected to generate new leads and market prospects and clients on a weekly basis, while conducting job walks and executing projects.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Business or Construction Management, or Bachelors of Science (B.S.) Degree in Environmental / Engineering re related field.
VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE EXPERIENCE
Requires: The IPM position requires a student mentality, extraordinary work ethic and positive attitude. Specific knowledge of MS-Excel and Microsoft Word a must.
Industry Preferred: Five or more years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Field Superintendent in the demolition, restoration, property management, insurance or abatement
industries. Knowledge of Project Management software such as Xactimate and of CRM software like Salesforce.
Sales Preferred: Minimum of 1 year in an outside sales position, performing B2B or B2C functions with a track record of success. Ability to cold call in person and over the phone is a must.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Track record of successful management of project schedules, budgets (cost proposals), and overall day to day project activities.
Track record of success at obtaining new business through cold calling, marketing, or networking.
Ability to work as a team across all departments at Burns Environmental, including, but not limited to Sales and Marketing, Accounting, Administrative, Operations, and Management.
Ability to execute job walks, prepare estimates, and deliver to the client.
Personal computer literacy is necessary.
Requires: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Project Management Software, and Outlook
Preferred: Experience with Customer Relations Management System (CRM), Xactimate (Insurance estimating software) .
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects in a reasonable time frame, executing job works, submitting work authorizations, and scheduling projects. Ability to read, analyze, and
interpret basic environmental reports obtained from a client and/or consulting company.
Ability to respond to general client questions or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in a timely manner.
Ability to work in an environment with little or no supervision.
Able to communicate and coordinate with personnel and department heads.
Able to assist departments from time to time when asked.
Assist with collections from time to time.
Excellent knowledge of the environmental industry and trends impacting the company's business operations and the industry as a whole.
Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to speak in Spanish a plus.
Ability to retain information and ask questions when have an unclear understanding of function or task.

STRENGTH: Must have the ability to lift 30 pounds with regularity.
This position will be working primarily outdoors in the field throughout Southern California. From this movement, the employee will encounter varying temperatures.
Normal auto and air travel hazards will apply. Travel will be in all types of weather including heavy rain and on rare occasions, below freezing temperatures.
