Location: Atlanta, GA 30309 Position: Certification Project Manager
Pay Rate: $65/hour
Duration: 2 years

Job Summary:

  • The Mobile Application Certification Project Manager is responsible for the timely certification of IT mobile projects using SDLC processes and project management methods.
  • Actively supports projects by managing and supporting the certification in collaboration with the project manager.
  • The successful candidate will use best practices such as risk management, scheduling, process modeling, communications management, and stakeholder expectation management. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of the certification process to ensure that goals and objectives of certification are accomplished within the prescribed time.
  • The MCoE is a centralized mobile application development and solution delivery organization, providing enterprise shared services across organizations such as national functions, regions, PMO, medical groups and others for the purpose of empowering business strategy and needs through the nimble, world class development, delivery, certification and support of mobile application solutions at scale.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manages the certification process of each project to the established scope
  • Initiates, builds, and maintains good relationships with IT and business management to help facilitate effective completion of project work.
  • Identifies and schedules certification deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and required tasks.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Actively manages project stakeholder expectations.
  • Identifies and schedules certification deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and required tasks.
  • Facilitates assignment of action items and deliverables to accountable team members for completion of specific tasks for certification.
  • Adheres to solution development life cycle (SDLC) and project management standards and practices, reporting and documentation.
  • Contributes to continuous improvements in processes.
  • Manages special engagements and projects as assigned

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years of Program/Process Management experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering IT projects using varied development approaches for internal and externally developed applications as well as packaged applications including incremental, waterfall, and Agile Scrum.
  • Significant knowledge and demonstrated competence with both Agile and Waterfall project management processes, methods, and standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communications skills required.
  • Experience managing a matrixed team consisting of associates, contractors, and vendors with various skills and disciplines.
  • Self-starter with high energy to meet the needs of a demanding business and IT environment.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen to complement strong tactical execution skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • High level of comfort with explicitly taking accountability and holding appropriate parties accountable
  • Experience with project management, process management and communication tools such as Daptiv, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
  • Experience working for large, regulated organizations and cross-organizational initiatives
  • "Power user" of mobile applications for personal and professional productivity.
  • Experience using the Mac platform and software (Pages, OmniGraffle) and Lotus Notes

Additional Notes:

  • Degree or equivalent experience: BA/BS degree from an accredited institution
  • Years of experience: A minimum of 4 years of related experience and 2 years of experience in software delivery
  • Knowledge of specific tools or skill sets: Experience with project management, process management and communication tools such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio and OmniGraffle
  • Nice to haves: Scrum Master, Scrum PO, PMI PMP, SAFe®
