DESCRIPTION

APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify Administrative Assistant III

Location: Downey, CA 90242 Position: Administrative Assistant III
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Duration: 3 months

Our client is one of the largest non-profit health plan founded in 1945 which offers comprehensive, affordable health coverage plans for individual & family, Medicare, employers, and large group.

Position Summary:

  • Supports one or more mid to senior-level managers.
  • Works in a diverse and more complex environment; and includes some customer and executive contact.
  • Performs more complex administrative activities including managing projects, composing letters and reports, preparing/editing presentations, and recommending or making purchase decisions.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has intermediate to advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and basic presentation or database applications.
  • Provides assistance, training to other administrative staff, may supervise other staff. Includes frequent/continual contact with customers and executives.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills, leadership, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills. May also possess specialized industry skill/knowledge or knowledge of foreign languages.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Using Time Keeping helping with payroll for 180+ FTE employees
  • Filing HR paperwork for employees
  • Using Word, Excel, some calendaring, general admin support

Top 3 Required Skills:

  • Time Keeping experience (KP software) - required
  • Filing HR paperwork for employees - required
  • Using Word, Excel – intermediate - required
  • Two 2 years relevant experience - required
  • KP experience

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Writing, email communication
  • Organized

Compensation & Benefits

At a minimum, a 7-year background check, education verification, employment verification, and drug screen will be conducted upon hire. Your suitability for employment is contingent upon successfully passing these required pre-employment screenings.
