Position: Cable and Harness Technician
Location: Goleta CA, 93117 (on-site)
Payrate: $36.87/hr on W2
Schedule: 9/80
Duration: 12 months or longer

Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets work Instructions, schematics, wire tables, and drawings.
- Performing everything required to build harness assemblies from the ground up – pulling wire, stripping, crimping, soldering, connectorizing, electrical checkouts and potting.
- Ensures quality of the hardware is maintained and company procedures are followed.
- Has a great attention to detail.
- Ensures work is done with completeness, accuracy, adherence to operation sheets, ISO procedures, schedules, and assigned tasks.
- Provides regular communication to shop leads and Work Center management on status and technical issues.
- US Citizen
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards including wiring diagrams and custom cable assemblies.
- Working experience building and installing custom harness assemblies in accordance with industry standards.
- Working experience with industry standards for connector.
- Must have color vision to identify cables and wires.
- Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to learn new material quickly.
- Holds or has held IPC-J-STD Solder Certification
- Holds or has held NASA.4 or (or IPC equivalent) Harness Certification
- Familiarity with hand tools: crimpers, positioners, wire strippers, DMMs, HiPot Testing
- Some mechanical assembly experience is a plus
- 1-2 years of aerospace manufacturing experience
