Production Technician
DESCRIPTION
A chemicals/manufacturing client is looking for an onsite Production Technician that will learn to operate ASU’s, (Air Separation units), as required, LIN Liquefier, and Nitrogen pipeline Backup system by taking rounds and readings and making process adjustments as needed
LOCATION: Longview, TX 75603
POSITION: Production Technician
CONTRACT: 6 months or longer, temp to hire based on performance
PAY RATE: $30/hr.
SHIFT: 1st shift, M-F, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Must be willing to work on weekends when required for special jobs that may arise. Must be willing to work rotating shift when needed.
Responsibilities
- Learns to operate ASU’s, (Air Separation units), as required, LIN Liquefier, and Nitrogen pipeline Backup system by taking rounds and readings and making process adjustments as needed.
- Helps with truck loading and analysis when needed and transport paperwork.
- Learn to manage quality paperwork.
- Fully supports operations of water treatment equipment
- Accurately completes production records; maintains, conforms to corporate Health, Safety and Environmental policies/procedures and relevant documentation at the facility
- Demonstrates identified skill sets in daily operational duties in monitoring operating performance and reporting to management timely
- Participates in operational/routine maintenance tasks within facility work group without interruption of customer product deliveries
- Models exemplary safety behavior; leads by example; works to achieve "Zero Accidents" -Assists/works closely with Plant Manager with daily facility needs
- Generates work orders; ensures accurate/complete information in maintenance work orders
- Communication with customer and operations group to ensure product delivery requirements are met
- Participates in shut downs, startups, and process adjustments
- Keeps accurate records; diligent in documentation, record retention policies/procedures
- Escorts on-site contractors, vendors, guests, or visitors throughout facility as needed; ensures their compliance with national safety policies/procedures
- Assists in on-site instrument calibration, laboratory testing of sample, and inventory of reagents
- Maintains high housekeeping standards to exemplify/improve the Air Liquide image.
- Assists delivery of materials on-site, such as chemicals for water treatment, and general warehouse equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Process operational skills preferred
At a minimum, a 7-year background check, education verification, employment verification, and drug screen will be conducted upon hire. Your suitability for employment is contingent upon successfully passing these required pre-employment screenings.
