Truck Loader and Utility Technician
DESCRIPTION
A chemicals/manufacturing client is looking for a Truck Loader and Utility Technician that will follow all Food Safety, FDA, and cGMP policies in operating practices, and participates in operational/routine maintenance tasks within Pre-Treatment, Wastewater, CDA and Raw water work group
LOCATION: Freeport, TX 77541 POSITION: Truck Loader and Utility Technician CONTRACT: 18 months, temp to hire PAY RATE: $25-$27/hr., depending on experience SHIFT: 1st shift, M-F, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Follows all Food Safety, FDA, and cGMP policies in operating practices.
- Participates in operational/routine maintenance tasks within Pre-Treatment, Wastewater, CDA and Raw water work group
- Demonstrates identified skill sets in daily operational duties.
- Instills safety in others by being safety minded, models good safety practices.
- Operate Truck Auto-Loading System (TAS) as necessary.
- Follows policies/procedures on proper notification for vacation scheduling, floating holidays, personal days off.
- Participation in facility safety meetings, inspections
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to drive company passenger truck to remote locations
- 2+ years of related industrial operations experience
- Overall understanding of plant safety rules, regulations, company safety policies/procedures
- Acquiring knowledge/ability in Pre-Treatment, Wastewater, CDA, TAS and Raw water
- Exhibits understanding of governmental regulations including Food Safety, FDA, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, and environmental permitting/compliance, loading /quality assurance, basic electricity, national/local operating procedures, CMMS, maintenance management process, all HSE issues associated with the facility
- Disqualifiers / Red Flags on Resume: Multiple job in short period of time. No experience in industrial fields.
- Steel toed shoes required
At a minimum, a 7-year background check, education verification, employment verification, and drug screen will be conducted upon hire. Your suitability for employment is contingent upon successfully passing these required pre-employment screenings.
