Location: Portland, OR 97201
Position: Payroll Specialist 1
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr.
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: Day 5×8-Hour (08:00 – 04:30)
Experience Required: One year of payroll processing experience (computing, verifying and entering data)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is in the Payroll department and is responsible for review, accuracy, coding/calculating and processing of payroll documents and adjustments. Works closely with Human Resources and departmental timekeepers for accurate timekeeping and personnel data.
- Payroll Processing. Review accuracy and process documents into the Oracle Payroll System including Federal and State W-4 forms, timekeeping setup forms, waivers of differentials
- Respond to subpoena requests, verifications of employment and unemployment claims
- Respond to inquiries from timekeepers, employees, departments, and outside sources, via telephone and email, including direct deposits, statement of earnings, W-2 reprints; in-take and delivery of payroll documents including garnishments and checks.
