Location:  Las Vegas, NV 89118 
Position: Gaming IT Project Manager
Pay Rate: $50-75/hr

Position Summary:
The Gaming IT Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple medium to large-scale projects within a dynamic casino gaming and IT environment. This role focuses on the systems side, ensuring the successful design, build, testing, and deployment of projects while meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

Essential Job Functions:
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans adhering to established methodologies.
Lead all project phases from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Delegate tasks to team members based on skills and responsibilities, ensuring efficiency.
Create and maintain all required project management artifacts and documentation.
Adjust schedules and targets as business needs or financial circumstances change.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:
Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (operations, compliance, IT) and external vendors to align project goals.
Facilitate communication among stakeholders, ensuring synergy in goals, updates, risks, and actions.
Lead project meetings, resolve conflicts, and maintain productive relationships with sponsors, business owners, and project teams.
Risk, Issue, and Compliance Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks or issues, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations and industry standards.
Maintain RIDA logs (Risks, Issues, Decisions, Actions) to track and address project challenges.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.
Resolve conflicts and address issues impacting project progress.
Systems Integration & Quality Assurance:
Oversee the integration of IT systems into casino operations, ensuring compliance with functionality, regulatory, and security standards.
Lead testing efforts to ensure systems meet quality standards before deployment.
Coordinate smooth handovers of systems, including end-user training and support.
Budget & Resource Management:
Manage project budgets, track costs against forecasts, and adjust as needed to meet financial objectives.
Develop budget requests for resources and oversee vendor contracts, staffing, and allocations.
Monitor resource needs, perform quality reviews, and address scope, budget, or timeline issues.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring:
Monitor project progress continuously, identify risks early, and implement recovery plans as needed.
Prepare and present regular status reports covering scope, milestones, budget, risks, and critical issues.
Ensure deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and are completed to their satisfaction.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
Lead and motivate project teams to foster collaboration and productivity.
Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Leverage past experiences to anticipate challenges and drive innovation in project execution.

Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including 3 years in the casino gaming sector and 4 years managing IT projects.
Strong knowledge of casino gaming systems, IT infrastructure, and platforms, such as:
Slot management systems, Cage operations, Table game systems, Payment processing, Loyalty programs, and Online gaming platforms.
Experience managing large-scale upgrades of casino gaming products (Slot management, Loyalty, and Progressive systems) across enterprises.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Expertise in budget management, risk mitigation, and team leadership.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels and manage stakeholder expectations.
Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with gaming regulatory compliance and laws, particularly Gaming Control Board regulations.

Certifications Required:
PMP certification or an equivalent industry-recognized certification (preferred).
