Our DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer position that just opened in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will be part of an innovative team which works to solve complex problems where the solutions provide truly meaningful results. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of job-related experience. An active TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at the time of hire.

Pay: $110.19/hour

Overview:
The Senior Principal Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Software Engineer will be part of an innovative team which works to solve complex problems where the solutions provide truly meaningful results. This individual is expected to work effectively in multi-disciplined engineering teams where communication and innovation is key.

Requirements:
•    A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with emphasis in Digital Signal Processing, Communication Theory, Wireless Communications, or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
•    Conceptualize, design and model world class signal processing algorithms for complex integrated HW/SW systems
•    Performance evaluation of signal processing solutions
•    Strong understanding of C/C++ software development in Unix/Linux operating systems
•    Strong understanding of software development tools such as integrated development environments (IDE) as well as version control systems and defect reporting tools
•    Experience implementing signal processing algorithms in GPUs
•    Work effectively in a cross functional team as well as a diverse customer base
•    Develop testing criteria and execute validation of designs
•    Experience working in a fast-paced development environment focused on fielding complex signal processing solutions
•    Proficient in signal processing algorithm development in MATLAB or Python
•    Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation and organizational skills
•    Proven technical leadership skills ability to generate and deliver creative problem solutions
•    Strong ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency
•    Proven record of continued self-improvement of skills

Preferred Experience:
•    Advanced Degree in relevant field of study
•    Experience with Agile software implementation
•    Experience leading programs/projects with Agile/Scrum tools and techniques
