An aerospace client is looking for a Systems Test Engineer to support on-site, dedicated 2nd shift and weekend test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program.

Location: Linthicum, MD 21090
Position: Systems Test Engineer
Pay Rate: $72/hr. – $95/hr. on W2
Duration: 12 months or longer
Shift: 9×80 | 2nd Shift, typically 1 PM – 10 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Executing test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space.
  • Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS; programming and scripting skills.
  • Working knowledge of RF test equipment is desired.
     

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); or HS diploma with at least 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance, or military control room console operator; or defense industry work experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance
  • Willingness to work dedicated 2nd for several months continuously (2nd shift is typically 1 PM – 10 PM)
  • No clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test.
  • Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment.
  • Programming in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code.
  • Scripting in Python or Tcl for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts.
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
  • TS or SCI for future opportunities
