Machinist Technician
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Machinist Technician position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will work from basic drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. To be considered, you will have a High School Diploma plus a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Position: Machinist Technician
Contract: 12-24 months with possibility of going direct/permanent
Pay: $25.11/hour
Telecommute: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Basic material knowledge
- May operate light-duty bench or floor machine tools and equipment
- Works from basic drawings, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which
- may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions
- Sets up machines and makes adjustments, and performs maintenance on machines
- Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances
- Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control
- procedures
- Interfaces with employees and managers within the department
- Works under supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions
- given for new activities or special assignments
Requirements:
- Ability to read and follow instructions including Engineering and CAD drawings
- Basic interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others
- Basic communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills
- Basic organizational skills
- Able to use mechanical hand and simple power tools
