Location: Bloomington, IN 47404
Position: Patient Registrar
Pay Rate: $22.50/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: 8am to 4:30pm, 40 hrs/week
*Schedule: Scheduled hours are 8am-430pm but the manager needs this hire to arrive at 745am M-F. The end time could be 4pm or 430pm depending on patient volumes in the clinic that day.
*This is a temporary need to start but is likely to extend and could offer conversion.
*Dress code is black pants and a shirt will be provided. Until this hire has a client provided polo, they can dress business casual.

Job Summary:
Facilitates patient flow from point of entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Obtains specific information to generate an accurate financial and demographic record for patients that will ensure maximum reimbursement and clinical outcomes. Schedules appointments, interviews patients for appropriate medical information, explains charges and policies of the department/hospital, validates and enters charges into appropriate systems, and collects necessary payment. Answers incoming calls and directs patients and visitors appropriately.

Time Management – Organizes one's own work activities and uses time management techniques to meet deadlines. Adheres to time management policies, such as scheduled breaks, clocking in and out procedures, notification required for paid time off, etc.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
Prefer relevant experience in a health care setting.
Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding preferred.
Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
MISC DETAILS:
*The manager is looking for someone who is reliable and has good attendance.
*Cerner experience and knows this software so they aren’t training from the start.
*Needs at least 12 months experience.
*Needs someone who is friendly, professional greeting patients.
*Onsite role M-F. Gets along with everyone and is a quick learner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Needs at least 12 months experience working in an admin/clerical patient facing role from a medical office environment.
Must have Cerner experience listed on resume.
