Job Overview
 
Cottage Health is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with Epic and healthcare revenue cycle experience to lead and manage key IT projects. This role requires a PMP-certified professional who is comfortable orchestrating and managing projects directly, working cross-functionally with ambulatory operations teams, and ensuring successful project execution.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Define project requirements, develop deliverables, and establish timelines in collaboration with leadership.
Oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution to completion and evaluation.
Lead cross-functional teams, facilitating clear communication and collaboration across departments.
Manage Epic-related projects, particularly supporting ambulatory operations and revenue cycle workflows.
Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and quality.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and progress reports.
Provide regular updates to leadership, sponsors, and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
 
Minimum of 7 years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years in healthcare IT.
Strong knowledge of Epic systems, particularly in ambulatory operations and revenue cycle functions.
PMP certification required (or strong justification for equivalent experience).
Experience managing large-scale IT projects in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with various teams, including clinicians, IT staff, and executive leadership.
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
9+ years of experience in healthcare IT project management.
Hands-on experience with Epic implementations or system optimizations.
Familiarity with hospital revenue cycle processes and financial IT systems.
