Position: Accountant
Pay Rate: $32.06- $38.19/hr
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: 8am-5pm, 5 days/week
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs professional accounting activities which support the preparation, recordation, and reconciliation of accounting/business transactions.

- Maintains accounting records to assure compliance with generally accepted
- accounting principles (GAAP), and other special requirements.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assists in maintaining the general ledger and various subsidiary ledgers.
- Accounting for business type activities.
- Accounting and financial reporting for leases.
- Prepares various federal and state agency reports.
- Ensures the maintenance of fixed asset records and prepares required reports.
- Contributes to the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.
- Assists in monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
Solves Problems & Analyzes Issues: Has and applies problem analysis and
problem-solving skills on a technical and interpersonal level.
- Determines validity and allocability of charges to various accounts and the
- adequacy of reserve amounts.
- Reviews and analyzes invoices related to capital expenses to determine
- compliance with GAAP for in terms of capital asset accounting.
- Analyzes transactions and prepares periodic reports of activity; computes
- mathematical and statistical data for various financial reports.

- Maintains fixed asset ledgers and performs monthly reconciliation with general
- ledger.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of accounting procedures.
- Prepares required schedules and assists independent auditors during the
- annual audit.
QUALIFICATION GUIDE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of three years of
professional experience in accounting.
