Position: Research Analyst
Pay Rate: $40/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: Day 5×8-Hour (08:00 – 17:00)
The Research Systems Analyst is responsible for all data communications from the Hospital Information Department to the Research Department.
We are not looking for a general IT technician or a research administrator. This role sits at the intersection of technical systems management and research operations. The ideal candidate should have:
Strong experience with computer systems and networking, especially in a research or academic environment
The ability to liaise directly with researchers and principal investigators, understand their technical needs, and translate them into effective IT solutions
Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows, Mac, Unix, etc.) and technical troubleshooting
Experience supervising operations, advising on equipment selection, and supporting system integration for research workflows
This is a hybrid role requiring both technical depth and strong communication skills. We need someone who can manage research systems infrastructure while also collaborating closely with investigators and other departments.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education and experience: At least five years’ working experience with computers, communications and/or related equipment, a bachelor’s degree in a related field or a sufficient combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills: Incumbent will have experience repairing, upgrading, diagnosing computer hardware and software, and also have experience working with multiple operating system platforms in a research environment. Windows 3.1, 95 and NT, and Macintosh systems required. Unix and Novell preferred
