Electronics Technician
An aerospace client is looking for an Electronics Technician with formal or military electronics training.
Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73135 (On-site)
Position: Electronic Assembly Technician
Pay Rate: $30/hr – $34.70/hr on W2
Duration: 9 months or longer
Schedule: 1st shift (9/80 A)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The selected candidates will have experience repairing aircraft wiring and terminating Amphenol or Cannon plugs by soldering or crimping pins.
- As a member of the Manufacturing team, you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment to build Special Test Equipment, Chassis’ and aircraft wire harness assemblies.
- You’ll interface with Design Engineers and other technicians to build this laboratory test Equipment.
- The products built will support two major defense programs.
- Kit Parts and build Rack Mounted Chassis assemblies.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate equipment issues to support system build-up and Integration Site sell-off.
- Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
- Perform general tasks associated with kitting and work movement between three Oklahoma City sites.
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods for individual pieces of equipment (both custom and COTS) and entire systems.
- Compile data and help to define changes required in testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, and new testing requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- US Citizenship is required.
- HS Diploma/GED
- 5 years or more experience
- Formal Electronics Training.
- Working knowledge and experience performing Aircraft Wiring Repairs.
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use basic manual tools and General test Equipment and meters.
- TRAVEL: Potential, 10% of the Time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active Secret or higher security clearance.
- Working knowledge of Mil-Std 1553 bus hardware and familiarity with using oscilloscopes, and the functions of a Digital Multi-meter.
- Aircraft Wiring Familiarity and Harness repair.
- Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification a plus.
