Position: Supply Chain Tech
Pay Rate: $24.94/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 3:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Position Summary:
Working under indirect supervisors is responsible for the verification and proper storage of all incoming medical supplies, receiving supply/equipment requests by telephone, delivering and stocking clean equipment, and transporting supplies and equipment to patient areas in an expeditious manner.
Primary duties and responsibilities in order of most significance:
- Verifying and proper storage of supplies to various par locations which include nurse servers, isolation gowns, masks, Sterile Processing, Operating Room, GI Lab, Labor and Delivery, while inspecting and rotating supplies to ensure sterile packaging integrity and current expiration date. Remove any expired items from the shelf while developing familiarity with all types of packaging and supplies to par level locations.
- Transportation of supplies and equipment to requested patient areas across the Medical Center campus in an expeditious manner
- Receiving supply/equipment requests across the Medical Center campus by telephone and communicating to Supply Chain team members on the priority levels if requests are needed STAT
Timely and proper put-away of nurse server carts and case cart totes while filling out respective order sheets to pre-determined par levels to ensure efficient stock is ordered and on hand.
- Performs cycle counts of Central Issues Inventory to ensure accurate inventory and on hand quantities are reflected within the system
- Proper disposal, handling, and/or storage of any trash or equipment utilized when completing any tasks or assignments
Minimum: HS Diploma/GED
Preferred Experience 2 years related hospital or inventory experience dealing with supplies or medical equipment or a level of education and experience.
