Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Sr. Advanced Configuration Management Associate position that just opened in Manassas, VA. In this role, you will collaborate with hardware, software, test, and installation team members on build schedule(s) then initiate the build and packaging process. To be considered, you will have an Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related plus a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Position: Sr. Advanced Configuration Management Associate
Contract: 24 months with possibility of going direct

Pay: $41.36/hour
Schedule: Onsite – Hybrid opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hardware, software, test, and installation team members on build schedule(s) then initiate the build and packaging process.
  • Create and evaluate system installation procedures for software and firmware releases.
  • Work with technicians and SMEs to generate, review and execute associated build documentation for correctness to ensure product quality.
  • Manage the configuration of software/firmware builds, ensuring the software/firmware components are properly controlled, tracked, and stored.
  • Ensure the software builds are repeatable with no errors on all versions of media and can be replicated at any stage of its development and/or or post-development.
  • Ensure the software, test, and production environments match the final lab and shipboard installation builds.
  • Coordinate shipments of media to customer locations.
  • Coordinate with other programs/projects for software and firmware release posts and notifications.
  • Tracking and managing the required licenses for servers and network switches including license counts and usages.
  • Contributing to required contract deliverable documentation.

What you bring to the table:

  • Excellent knowledge of MIL-HDBK-61, DoD standards, and Configuration Management practices.
  • Working knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) applications (Windchill).
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Adheres to company Configuration/Data Management policies.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
