OSP Project Manager
Our client is a worldwide telecommunications company that offers voice, data and video services and solutions on its award-winning networks and platforms, delivering on customers’ demand for mobility, reliable network connectivity, security, and control.
We are looking for a OSP Project Manager to develop and maintain project schedules and calendars with the input from assigned OSP engineers.
Location: Reston, VA / Halethorpe, MD
Position: OSP Project Manager
Pay: $51.54/hr. on W2
Duration: 30 months or longer
Hybrid opportunity: 2 days in the office / 3 remote (flexible on which days)
Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 years
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Develop and maintain project schedules and calendars with the input from assigned OSP engineers
- Facilitate team meetings, providing meeting minutes and action items where needed
- Build strong communication channels with internal stakeholders in various departments: Sales, OSP
- Engineering (In-Franchise and Out of Franchise), Network Program Management, Operations, etc.
- Track tasks assigned to the project team and prepare regular status reports
- Responsible for tracking project changes and producing updated schedules
- Tracks budget
- Gather and report performance measurement of on-going progress.
- Ensure smooth communication within the project team and other cross-functional teams
- Interface with internal/external stakeholders on a regular basis
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- Understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) engineering and/or construction or experience in the field
- Background in project management in a field related to civil, environmental, or utility construction
- Ability to clearly articulate expectations and drive success.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Organization and the ability to multi-task is a must
- Experience with MS Office suite of apps
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Visio
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Coursework in programs associated with project management, Outside Plant Engineering, and a PMPO certification a plus.
