Location: Medford, MA 02155
Position: Receptionist

Pay Rate: $17-19/hr
Duration: 3 month contract with potential to extend depending on candidate performance and need.
Schedule: M-F 9am- 5:30pm

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The main function of the receptionist is to provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests and performing clerical functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets and directs visitors. Provides information and answers the telephone or console switchboard. Receives and sends packages via couriers.
  • Maintains visitor log and/or call record, provides security passes/badges, typing, filing or other simple clerical functions. Maintains boardroom schedule and equipment. Provide other administrative support as required: typing, filing, photocopying, binding books, and preparing mailers.
  • Will be assisting in the clinic with basic administrative and front-desk functions. They will be checking with hospital about discharge of patients, transportation calls, answering phones, screening and transferring calls, and greeting patients upon arrival. Other administrative functions like record filing, faxing documents, and distributing mail. Previous front desk experience preferred, but not required.

SKILLS:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
  • Ability to keep information organized and confidential.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in healthcare required, at least 1 year. Experience using Epic is highly preferred, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite highly preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-7 years’ experience required.
  • Would like to see medical exp. and computer/patient skills.
