Our client is a high-tech business focusing on software and hardware system integration, cutting-edge research and development, and manufacturing. They provide premium systems, services, and products for the Department of Defense, government agencies and commercial clients.
 
We have an immediate opening for an Embedded Software Developer who will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for sustaining and creating software for embedded applications.
 
Job Title: Embedded Software Developer
Location: Canonsburg, PA 15317
Contract Duration: 12 months or longer
Pay: $45/hr.
 
Note:  Due to the nature of work all candidates must be US Citizens.
 
Position Summary:
You will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master’s degree.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience writing in C and Multithreaded programming
  • Experience with a Real Time Operating System
  • Experience working outside of an IDE development environment. (i.e., writing and modifying makes files)
  • Experience with Software Source Control tools and concepts (Git or CVS preferred)
  • Experience leveraging and integrating pre-existing and legacy software and Firmware modules.with National Instruments LabWindows/CVI would be helpful, but not required
  • Experience architecting and designing new software applications from design documents.
  • Experience developing secure software applications is desirable but not required.
