Our DoD/Aerospace client is seeking a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer to support critical undersea defense programs. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of advanced torpedo guidance and undersea mission systems for the United States Navy. You will work as part of a cross-functional engineering team responsible for full lifecycle systems engineering activities, from requirements definition through system integration and production support.

Location: Canonsburg, PA (On-site)
Position: CL – Senior Advanced Systems Engineer
Contract: 12 – 24 months with possibility of going direct 
Pay: $85.71/ hour
Schedule:  First Shift

CLEARANCE: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering activities including:
    • Requirements analysis, definition, flow-down, and management
    • Functional and performance analysis
    • System architecture and design
    • Systems integration of ruggedized electronic equipment
  • Translate system-level requirements into detailed design and test requirements
  • Support system verification, validation, and failure investigation activities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams across complex programs
  • Establish and present technical strategies and plans to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support production success through strong technical execution and documentation

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 8+ years of relevant experience
    OR
  • Master’s degree in a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in Agile development environments is preferred

Clearance Requirements

  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance preferred at time of hire
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of work performed

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Systems engineering experience on complex, cutting-edge defense or aerospace programs
  • Strong experience with:
    • SysML / UML modeling tools (e.g., MagicDraw)
    • Requirements management and traceability
    • System architecture and integration
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • DOORS
    • MATLAB
    • Jira
    • Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to drive system-level requirements down to design and test levels
  • Proven experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams
