Project Schedule Analyst III
A Project Schedule Analyst III position just opened up at JPL/NASA in Pasadena, CA. In this role you will be responsible to provide program, project or institutional scheduling products including comprehensive integrated master schedule products, schedule assessment and performance analysis.
Location: Pasadena, CA 91109 (In Office)
Position: Project Schedule Analyst III
Pay Rate: $40 – 63/hr DOE
Duration: 18 months
Schedule: 9/80 (You’ll be working 80 hours over 9 days, instead of the traditional 10; So for example, you may work 9-hour days Monday through Thursday, and on Fridays, you either work an 8-hour day or take regular day off.)

Job Summary
Serves as an integral partner in the project business team. Works with the Project/Program team to schedule the: project elements, project lifecycle, production detail, materiel, etc. Provides program, project or institutional scheduling products including comprehensive integrated master schedule products, schedule assessment and performance analysis. Provides reporting and tracking requirements, to ensure project/program or institution is compliant with contractual requirements. Analyzes and validates current schedule status to current plan, and historical/baseline schedule products. Analyzes efficiency and trends; forecasts impact to project, program, proposal, and/or institutional requirements. Responsible for the earned value schedule integration, and other schedule related support and services.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor degree in Business Administration or similar discipline with a minimum of 6 years of related experience; Master degree in similar discipline with 4 years of related experience; or PhD in similar discipline with 2 years related experience.
- Strong knowledge in project planning and control principles, including budgeting and scheduling, performance measurements, and earned value.
- Able to interface effectively with program/project management, technical organizations, and industry partners.
- Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Experienced user of Microsoft Project and knowledge of Milestones Professional.
Desired:
- Previous experience in a project team environment with project reporting, integrated cost/schedule planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and various performance measurement techniques.
- Experience with cost-schedule baseline change control processes.
