Location: Ventura, CA 93003
Position: Dietary Aide
Pay Rate: $23.92/hr
Duration: 4 weeks with possible extension
Expected Shift: Day 5×8-Hour (05:00 – 13:00)
Urgent Backfill to cover cancel – 4 weeks remaining contract. Room for possible extension.
Schedule – 5×8 days
5am or 10:45am start time
Required
***prioritizing candidates with more direct dietary aide experience, such as understanding and implementing therapeutic diets (e.g., diabetic, renal, cardiac, or texture-modified diets), and ensuring proper nutritional compliance, with collaboration with dietitians.
* 1-2 years dietary experience
* Large scale food production experience
* California Food Handlers Certification
Skills
* Basic computer operations skills
* Basic clerical skills
* EHR – understanding of the system
Duties and Responsibilities
• Receives and processes all patient diet orders.
• Prepares and posts meal counts.
• Supervises the weighing and measuring of proper amounts of specific foods, and the apportioning of foods on tray line.
• May occasionally substitutes foods on the menu when supply is depleted.
Additional notes: Will not be on floor/ face to face with patients. Phone screens will be completed remotely to determine patients preferences/orders. Once menus are created, they will be imputed into the computer/ EHR system.
Consulting with the RDs as needed.
