Space Force – Senior Tracking Systems Engineer
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Tracking Systems Engineer position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support Space Force initiatives by contributing to the development and deployment of advanced ground operational systems for satellite tracking and integration. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ, with on-site or remote work options available.
Location: Scottsdale, AZ (On-site or Remote options available)
Position: Senior Tracking Systems Engineer
Contract Length: 12–24 months with possibility of going direct
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree with 6+ years of experience
Schedule: First Shift
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI Clearance Obtainable (U.S. citizenship required)
In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:
- Support the development and deployment of ground operational systems for the SDA Ground Management and Integration Program.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, integrate, and deliver advanced tracking system solutions.
- Lead and contribute across the full systems development lifecycle.
- Support mission design efforts related to tracking systems and satellite communications.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing process and technology improvements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to meet complex customer requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts and lifecycle processes.
- Experience with tracking mission design and satellite communications (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts and mentor team members.
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging technology trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Agile experience is preferred.
