Senior Systems Engineer – Top Secret – Local
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Systems Engineer – Top Secret/SCI position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support the design, development, integration, and deployment of mission-critical Restricted Ground Systems, working across systems engineering, hardware, software, modem, and antenna system technologies. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience. An active TS/SCI clearance is required at the time of hire.

Position: Senior Systems Engineer – Top Secret/SCI
Contract: 12–24 months or longer
Pay: $88.51/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Work Schedule: Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, and management throughout the system development lifecycle
- Support system architecture, design studies, integration, verification, validation, and testing activities
- Conduct technical planning, risk assessments, trade studies, and performance analyses
- Develop and evaluate secure systems, networks, and information systems to meet government security requirements
- Coordinate external interfaces, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and cross-functional engineering activities
- Participate in modeling, simulation, troubleshooting, and system performance evaluations
- Research and assess vendor products, COTS components, specifications, and technical documentation
- Support the development of technical engineering products using established processes, standards, and tools
- Lead project activities, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to major engineering programs
- Interface regularly with customers, program leadership, and engineering teams
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, or related field
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience (or Master’s Degree with 6+ years)
- Active Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience with systems engineering processes, requirements management, and systems integration
- Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Ground Systems, Modem Systems, and Antenna Systems
- Multi-level security and cross-domain system expertise
- Agile development program experience
- Systems engineering leadership experience
- Experience coordinating external interfaces and ICDs
- Strong understanding of system scope management and requirements decomposition
- Modeling and Simulation experience
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills
