Software Engineer – Top Secret – Local
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Software Engineer position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the Titan Program by developing mission-critical software solutions that support important capabilities for the U.S. Warfighter. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ and is fully on-site.
Location: Scottsdale, AZ (On-site)
Position: Software Engineer
Contract Length: 12–24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $62.16 per hour
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field with 2+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 6+ months of experience
Schedule: First Shift
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI required at time of hire (U.S. citizenship required)
In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:
- Develop software solutions supporting critical assets and mission systems for the Titan Program.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level software applications.
- Support software development activities within AWS-based environments.
- Participate in Agile software development processes and team collaboration activities.
- Utilize GitLab for source control, code management, and software delivery workflows.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation technologies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of software development processes and software engineering principles.
- Experience with Java software development.
- Proficiency using Maven build tools.
- Experience working with VS Code (VSCode) development environments.
- Knowledge of RESTful API and interface development.
- Familiarity with enterprise software development environments.
- Experience working in AWS cloud-based environments.
- Knowledge of GitLab source control and DevOps workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and collaborate effectively within team environments.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
