Advanced Manufacturing/Production Operator
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Manufacturing/Production Operator position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the manufacturing and assembly of mission-critical electronic and mechanical hardware used in advanced defense systems. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ and is fully on-site.

Position: Senior Manufacturing/Production Operator
Contract Length: 12–24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $24.48 per hour
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant manufacturing or production experience
Schedule: First Shift
Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance Obtainable (U.S. citizenship required)
In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:
- Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Read and interpret basic schematics, drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Follow established methods, techniques, and sequences of operations for assembly activities.
- Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on subassemblies and units.
- Integrate subassemblies into final hardware assemblies.
- Perform final assembly of small systems and equipment.
- Conduct basic electrical testing and verification activities.
- Complete rework, refurbishment, and repair of hardware and systems as required.
- Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly operations.
- Ability to read and interpret basic schematics and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of wiring, component installation, cable harnessing, and hand soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOMs) and work order tracking systems.
- Understanding of polarity requirements and inspection criteria.
- Experience using measuring equipment and performing basic electrical tests.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a production environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
