Material Planner
An aerospace client is looking for a Material Planner to support our client’s MRP Planning department.
Location: Apopka, FL 32703 (Onsite)
Position: Material Planner
Pay Rate: $31.55/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 12 months or longer
Schedule: 5×8 (M-F)
Overview:
A Material Planner to support our client’s MRP Planning department. As a member of the MRP Planning department you’ll get to manage materials from dock to shipping while interfacing with other functional areas. This position will serve on-site at Apopka, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares lists of materials, accessories, and parts used in production following engineering and design blueprints.
- Examines blueprints, identifies parts code, computes quantity needed, and lists total material requirements including contract numbers, routing, and special handling instructions.
- Submits list to purchasing department for use in preparing purchase orders.
- Understanding customer requirements through RFPs and other requests
- Collaborating and coordinating with other functional areas to develop the material procurement strategy, interfacing with Global Supply Chain, Program Management, and Operations Program Management.
- Ensuring delivery schedule adherence
- Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements.
- Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records.
- Maintains “as required” material planning, reorder points and consumption.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
- High School Diploma with 2 years of combined experience in Material Planning, Global Supply Chain or Material Handling.
- Bill of Materials (BOM)

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of combined experience in Material Planning, Global Supply Chain or Material Handling.
- Experience in working with manufacturing specifications and drawings.
