Location: Las Vegas, NV (Will start out remote but transition to hybrid)
Position: Fixed Assets Sr Accountant
Salary: $75 – $85K plus bonus DOE
Hours: Full time
hybrid/onsite – will consider remote for the ideal candidate

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to drive the accuracy, compliance, and strategic management of our fixed assets. If you thrive on process optimization and innovation, this role is your opportunity to make a significant impact. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple accounting teams and business unit finance teams across the company, as well as significant engagement with our tax and audit teams.
 
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include providing end to end ownership of the Global Fixed assets process, including:

  • Global Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and reconcile fixed asset accounts, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and reporting in compliance with GAAP.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
  • Audit Excellence: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, preparing detailed audit schedules and maintaining impeccable records.
  • Financial Process Optimization: Prepare journal entries, manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, and support consolidation processes in Oracle and reconciliations in BlackLine.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Treasury, Tax, Operations, and other departments to streamline financial reporting and drive efficiency in capital expenditure management.
  • Identify, develop and implement best in class global fixed asset accounting process, automation and other improvement initiatives in collaboration with other teams within CAO function.
  • Assist with other general ledger functions including journal entry and reconciliation preparation and review.
  • Development of process and procedures manuals, policies, and controls.

  • Role would assist in managing NA Fixed Assets and would establish best practices, standardize global processes, etc.
  • Experience with Oracle, Blackline, Incorta
  • Highly technically competent with Fixed assets accounting, knows what a “good” looks like, has been involved in automation and change management (not necessarily led at this level but played active role)
  • Passion to learn and drive process improvements
  • Will consider remote/hybrid/on site
 

Minimum Qualifications:
 
Fully qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:

  • 5+ years of fixed assets experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Full understanding of U.S. GAAP specific to fixed assets and capitalization principles.
  • Deep understanding of IT technology including Oracle, HFM, and Blackline.
  • Able to focus on the overall objective for a given process or accounting area, while at the same time able to dive into transactional detail if needed to resolve questions or issues
  • Curious mindset that proactively seeks understanding and feedback
  • Upholds commitment to quality through robust review and analysis
  • Motivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities.
  • Experience working in multi-national environments; able to collaborate effectively across different cultures, experience levels, etc.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Communication & Leadership: Exceptional ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and lead process improvements.
  • Preferred Experience: Exposure to public company accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and intercompany transactions in multinational settings is a plus.

 
 
Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license
