An aerospace client is looking for a Tooling Engineer who will work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Tool design engineers, Tool Integrators, and Tool Assembly and Offsite personnel

Location: Palmdale, CA 93550 (On-site)
Position: Tooling Engineer
Pay Rate: $28/hr – $41/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 6 months or longer
Schedule: 9×80 A
Shift: 6am to 4pm

Responsibilities:

• The Tool Engineer shall work with internal/external customers, and colleagues to ensure that the tool meets the customer needs and see it through each phase of the engineering process (Design, Fabrication, and Implementation).
• Direct Aerospace Tooling experience
• Execution/Lead/Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external.
• Experience shall be in in medium to large scale tooling fabrication and assembly, and/or production fabrication including composites, metallic, coatings application, and/or production manufacturing operations.
• Direct experience working in with 3D CAD e.g. CATIA, NX, CREO etc.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required.  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• HS Diploma/ GED
•  Experience shall be in in medium to large scale tooling fabrication and/or production fabrication including composites, metallic, coatings application, and/or production manufacturing operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical)
• Composite experience and process knowledge
• Direct Tool design experience of medium to large scale tooling
• Direct Aerospace Tooling experience
