Senior Structural Design Engineer
Our client, a global engineering, procurement and construction company working with leaders in the energy, infrastructure, life sciences, advanced technologies, mining and metals industries, as well as government agencies is now looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer.
Title: Senior Structural Design Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12 months or longer
Pay rate: $70/hr. on W2 (depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct construction document reviews as required
- Plan, organize, and coordinate structural engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects
- Prepare and review of calculations, drawings, and specifications relating to seismic and wind analyses, foundation design, structural framing analyses and design, and bracing analyses and design
- Experience in renovating/modifying existing facilities is required
- Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects
- Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to structural engineering design
- Professional Engineer License preferred but not required
