Registered Nurse
An aerospace client is looking for a Registered Nurse who will Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.
Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94086 (On-site)
Position: Registered Nurse
Pay Rate: $52/hr – $60/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 24 months or longer
Schedule: Monday – Friday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm
**May be asked to provide additional support on first shift to cover time off for other nurses
Shift: 2nd Shift
**Nurse will have to work first shift to be trained by existing nurses (6:30 am – 3:00 pm) for at least 1 month
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.
- Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.
Note: most of these services are performed offsite by an outside clinic, but the nurse will be responsible for scheduling, obtaining and reviewing all results from the clinic.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Dispense OTC Medications.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Associate of Science in Nursing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
- Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations
Required certifications:
- CPR/BLS
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- 2+ years in occupational health
Preferred Certifications:
- Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
- Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
