Location: 301 Hillcrest Dr Laurens, SC 29360
Position: School Psychologist
Pay Rate: $59.33/hr
Duration: 2025-2026 school year
Expected Shift: 7:00am -2:30pm
Job Summary:
A competent school psychologist should be flexible enough to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of emotional and mental health needs. Their principal job is to look after students’ mental heath and to help them overcome a range of behavioral challenges. School psychologist job duties may include:
- Creating a safe and accepting environment in which students feel comfortable expressing their needs
- Keeping up with district and school policies, state and federal law and the needs of families for information sharing and confidentiality
- Effectively communicating with students’ teachers, school staff, district administrators and children’s caregivers to meet children’s mental and emotional health needs
- Keeping and updating HIPAA-compliant records containing privileged health information about minors
- Learning and applying evidence-based diagnosis and treatment protocols in compliance with state licensing standards
Job Requirements:
- 2025 – 2026 school year
- 37.5 hours/week schedule
- Must hold the required Educator Certificate through the South Carolina Board of Education (School Psychologist II)
- Working with students K-12th grade
- In-person only
