Location: Las Vegas, NV
Position:  VP, Product IT Innovations
Salary: $170 – $200K plus bonus – ideally $185K DOE
Hours: 40 hrs/week on average
Onsite, direct hire
 
Must have Fintech/mobile gaming exp – fintech & casino exp would be a bonus
 
Responsibilities:
 
Strategic Execution & Leadership

  • Translate the strategic vision set by the Chief Innovation Officer into detailed plans, architectural models, and project milestones for the Innovation Technology team.
  • Provide steady, thoughtful leadership in a start-up environment, with a focus on long-term success over immediate transformation.
  • Build credibility across departments by actively listening, observing, and collaborating before recommending or initiating changes.

Technology & Product Innovation

  • Help evolve our architecture toward distributed, modular, AI-powered platforms, particularly in mobile and real-time environments.
  • Support future initiatives in AI and Go-based development, shaping early-stage concepts into scalable solutions.

Operational Excellence & Delivery

  • Drive the development, certification, and handoff of new products into operational support with full documentation, readiness, and compliance.
  • Establish clear KPIs around uptime, scalability, user impact, and deployment efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and observability in production systems.

 
 
Regulatory & Compliance Governance

  • Ensure all product innovations meet applicable gaming and payment regulatory requirements, including PCI-DSS, PSD2, and KYC/AML.
  • Lead efforts in IT governance for AI development and deployment.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Product, Compliance, UX, and Engineering teams to drive innovation without compromising security, performance, or regulatory standards.
  • Represent the Production Innovation roadmap to executive leadership and advocate for long-term investment.

 
Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years in product management, innovation and/or product strategy roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within high-scale consumer tech, fintech platform, mobile application development, and/or payments systems environment.
  • Proven experience working with data-driven mobile solutions and payment flows with demonstrated client/bank relationship management.

Technical Expertise

  • Deep understanding of architectural flows and the ability to turn complex business goals into scalable, executable tech strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of modern tech stacks, cloud-native platforms, backend and mobile architecture, edge computing, and real-time data processing.
  • Expertise in mobile platform development (iOS and Android).
  • Hands-on understanding of CI/CD, observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, and/or a similar observability tool, and telemetry systems.

Leadership Competencies & Cultural Alignment

  • Proven ability to foster trust and strong working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders and cross-functional teams through emotional intelligence, empathy, and clear communication.
  • Demonstrated track record leading cross-functional product and technology teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where adaptability, patience, and collaborative leadership skills contributed to overall success.
