Part-time Instructional Designer
An electric utility client is looking for a Part-time Instructional Designer that will format and produce learning materials (eLearning modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, etc.)
Location: Irwindale, CA 91706 (remote)
Position: Part-time Instructional Designer
Pay Rate: $39.39/hr. on W2
Duration: 18 months or longer
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Flexible Hours, 15-25 Hours Per Week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Format and produce learning materials (eLearning modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, etc.) using:
- Adobe InDesign (primary tool)
- Articulate Storyline
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Apply and maintain consistency with established visual and instructional design standards set by the Creative Director.
- Collaborate with project managers and instructional designers to ensure timely delivery of assets.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing quality with efficiency.
- Conduct light quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure formatting accuracy and functionality.
- Maintain organized file structures and version control for all deliverables. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Expert-level proficiency in:
- Adobe InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Articulate Storyline
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design templates and brand/style guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational and file management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field. DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience working in Learning & Development, education, or corporate training environments.
- Prior experience as an Instructional Designer or Learning Experience Designer.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) in learning content.
