APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a Embedded Software Engineer with Active Secret Clearance.

Overview

Located on-site in Chandler, AZ, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, test, and integrate software solutions that make a tangible impact on advanced weapon systems.

Required Skills

  • U.S. Citizenship and Active DoD Secret security clearance obtained within the last 5 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with object-oriented software development in C/C++ in a Linux environment
  • Proven background in embedded real-time software development, debugging, and testing
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, or Yocto Linux
  • Complete software development lifecycle knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with PowerPC, ARM, or RISC-V architectures
  • Knowledge of design, integration, and testing in real-time computer-in-loop and hardware-in-loop laboratories
  • Experience supporting weapon system interfaces and integration efforts

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or related discipline
  • Prior experience working within defense or aerospace sectors, particularly on software for weapon systems
  • Several years of embedded software development experience in real-time environments

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to work on-site in Chandler, AZ (Monday through Friday, 1st Shift – 9/80 schedule)
  • Ability to support ongoing program requirements, including design, coding, testing, and integration activities
