Mechanical Engineer
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Mechanical Engineer position that just opened in Quincy, MA. In this role, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and development of advanced autonomous subsea systems and vehicles. To be considered, you will have an Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related plus a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Contract: 24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $62.41/hour
Schedule: Onsite/Hybrid
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Autonomous Maritime Platforms Business, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and development of advanced autonomous subsea systems and vehicles.

- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Mechanical Engineering Design
- Proficiency with SolidWorks MCAD and PTC Windchill PDM Software
- Engineering background in the Undersea Domain

- Knowledge of autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicle (AUV/UUVs) technologies, principles, theories, and concepts
- Hands-on experience assembling prototype systems
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
