A client is looking for a Content Moderator who will be joining an already established moderation team as they review and evaluate all client’s user generated content – making quick judgment calls and assessments on a range of subjects including terms of service, community guidelines violations, and other policy issues.

Location: New York, NY 10003 (REMOTE)
Position: Content Moderator
Pay Rate: $22/hr. on W2
Duration: 6 months
Hours: 1st shift, M-F, 40 hrs. a week
Time Zone: EST or PST

OVERVIEW:
You will be joining an already established moderation team as they review and evaluate all client’s user generated content – making quick judgment calls and assessments on a range of subjects including terms of service, community guidelines violations, and other policy issues. This role will be to support all aspects of content moderation, including policy creation, outgoing communication, learning and development, and team-wide support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all users generated content moderation
  • Handle user, vendor, and external escalations regarding UGC moderation decisions
  • Work with Trust and Safety leadership on data-related requests across multiple issue verticals and projects/programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 1-3 years of experience in trust & safety, content moderation, policy writing, public policy, policy operations or equivalent experience.
  • BA/BS degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in Trust and Safety and/or risk-related areas, including ability to review high sensitivity content.
  • Proficiency with some or all of these technologies: Salesforce, Atlassian/Jira, Slack.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and presentation skills, with an exceptional ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Impressive organization skills with the ability to influence others around you
  • Ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans.
  • Team player and a fast learner.
