Payment Processing Analyst
An electric utility client is looking for a Payment Processing Analyst who is responsible for receiving and validating enrollment forms from account managers, submitting eligible customers to a third-party supplier for enrollment, and confirming enrollment status back to stakeholders.
Location: Irwindale, CA 91702 (HYBRID)
Position: Payment Processing Analyst
Pay Rate: $48.18/hr. on W2
Duration: 18 months or longer
Schedule: 1st shift, M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Hybrid in office 2 days on Wed & Thurs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will play a key role in managing customer enrollment and payment operations for the company’s Flexible Pricing Rate Pilot, as well as conducting additional reporting.
- This position is responsible for receiving and validating enrollment forms from account managers, submitting eligible customers to a third-party supplier for enrollment, and confirming enrollment status back to stakeholders.
- The role also includes overseeing manual enrollment processes for Automation Service Providers, maintaining detailed metrics on enrollment activity (e.g., number of customers, MW enrolled, benefiters vs. non-benefiters), and tracking billing status.
- This role will also manage manual customer payments and facilitate payments to contractors and other third parties.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- BA/BS Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline
- Four or more years of experience with business analysis
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as Excel, Access or other similar tools for tracking and reporting
- Ability to understand and conduct payment processing and reconciliation
- Ability to follow and improve upon business processes
- Strong attention to detail to validate information on forms is correct
- Experience with manual data entry
- Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle high-volume tasks during ramp-up periods
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with customer programs and billing in a utility or similarly regulated environment
- Familiarity with SAP
- Experience using advanced analytical tools such SAS, Power BI or other similar tools.
- Experience working with budgets.
- Experience creating and using pivot tables, charts, and graphs and the ability to work with larger datasets (e.g., containing data for several hundred thousand accounts).
- Proficiency identifying trends in complex data and arriving at solutions rooted in information.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrates strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
