About the Role

APR Consulting is seeking an experienced Technical DoD / Aerospace Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting efforts within the DoD and Aerospace industry. This work-from-home role focuses on sourcing, screening, and hiring top technical talent across cleared and non-cleared positions within manufacturing, software, engineering, and program/project management disciplines, supporting both contract and direct hire hiring needs.

The ideal candidate understands the nuances of recruiting in regulated environments and has experience supporting both classified and unclassified programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for roles within the DoD / Aerospace sector
  • Support recruiting for both contract and direct hire positions
  • Recruit for both cleared and non cleared positions across:
    • Manufacturing
    • Software Development
    • Engineering
    • Program Management
    • Project Management
  • Recruit candidates with security clearances, including Secret, Top Secret, and Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI), as well as candidates for non cleared roles
  • Source candidates using Indeed, ZipRecruiter, ClearanceJobs.com, LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, and networking
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, clearance needs, employment type, and program timelines
  • Conduct candidate screenings with an understanding of clearance eligibility, status, and timelines
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring teams and program stakeholders
  • Support offer development and guide candidates through acceptance
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Build and maintain pipelines of both cleared and non cleared technical talent
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Technical Recruiter
  • Experience recruiting within the DoD and/or Aerospace industry
  • Proven recruiting experience across manufacturing, software, engineering, and program/project management roles
  • Experience recruiting for both contract and direct hire positions
  • Experience recruiting for both cleared and non cleared roles
  • Hands-on experience recruiting candidates with Secret, Top Secret, and TS/SCI clearances
  • Strong understanding of security clearance processes and requirements
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms and sourcing tools
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote / work-from-home environment
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience supporting defense contractors or federal programs
  • Experience using Bullhorn and/or iCIMS (preferred but not required)
  • Additional education, certifications, or recruiting training
