Software Integration & Test Engineer
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Software Integration & Test Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support tactical communications systems by performing software integration, test execution, and troubleshooting for mission-critical, software-defined hardware solutions. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or a Master’s degree with at least 6 months of experience).

Position: Software Integration & Test Engineer
Contract: 12 – 24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $46.99
Schedule: First / Second Shift
CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire.
In this role you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:
- Execute software integration and test (I&T) activities on software-defined hardware solutions
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot software defects discovered during integration and testing
- Collaborate closely with software, firmware, and hardware engineering teams to resolve issues
- Develop and support automated test scripts using Python 3.9 or higher
- Apply best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting
- Coordinate integration efforts across hardware, firmware, and software domains
- Support Agile development methodologies and sprint execution
- Assist with configuration management documentation and processes to support software release and delivery
- Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, and defect tracking
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; OR
- Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience
- Experience with object-oriented programming and scripting languages, particularly Python
- Hands-on experience with hardware/software integration testing
- Familiarity with test and lab equipment such as signal analyzers, signal generators, and USRP devices
- Experience working in a fast-paced, rapid-prototype environment
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in Agile development environments preferred
Clearance Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire
- Applicants must be eligible for access to classified information and subject to a U.S. Government security investigation
- U.S. citizenship is required
