Systems Engineer
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Systems Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support the design, development, integration, testing, and verification of complex computing and communications systems for mission-critical defense and aerospace programs. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related STEM field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or a Master’s degree with at least 6 months of experience).

Position: Systems Engineer
Contract: 12 – 24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $49.36/ hour
Schedule: First Shift
In this role you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:
- Support the design, development, integration, testing, and verification of complex computing and communications systems
- Contribute across the full systems engineering lifecycle, including concept development, requirements definition, system architecture, modeling, performance analysis, integration, and verification
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, software, and systems engineering teams
- Support system integration activities and participate in field test events as needed
- Apply engineering principles and methodologies to solve complex technical challenges
- Assist in developing and managing system requirements and technical documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) field with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience
OR
- Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship is required
Knowledge Skills And Abilities:
- Experience with hardware prototype development and integration
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system integration and testing
- Background in Electrical Engineering and/or Systems Engineering, particularly in communications systems or digital signal processing
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD concepts
- Knowledge of Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience with SysML-based tools such as MagicDraw or Cameo
- Strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering standards and methodologies
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to support technical leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical content
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
