Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Systems Engineer – Regional Strike Programs position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support mission-critical national security programs by contributing to the development, integration, and validation of advanced hardware and software systems. The position is based in Pittsfield, MA, with on-site work and occasional hybrid flexibility.

Position: Systems Engineer – Regional Strike Programs
Contract Length: 12–24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $58.38 per hour
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience
Schedule: First Shift

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance required (U.S. citizenship required)

In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:

  • Support cross-functional engineering teams in delivering hardware, software, and integrated system solutions.
  • Perform system validation, verification, and performance testing as part of Test & Integration Engineering.
  • Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools for system modeling, simulation, and design analysis.
  • Support hardware system design, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment with technical standards and program objectives.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance systems engineering tasks such as requirements analysis, test documentation, and reporting.
  • Continuously improve processes by adopting evolving technologies and engineering best practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and technical standards.
  • Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with Test & Integration Engineering, MBSE, and hardware systems engineering.
  • Ability to apply innovative thinking and quickly adapt to new technologies and concepts.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in team-oriented environments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance engineering productivity and efficiency.
