Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Advanced Electrical Engineer – Systems Test position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support GPS and space mission programs by contributing to the acceptance testing of modules and systems, including procedure development, hardware/software validation, and data analysis. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ and is fully on-site.

Position: Advanced Electrical Engineer – Systems Test
Contract Length: 12–24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $65.95 per hour
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience
Schedule: First Shift

Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance Obtainable (U.S. citizenship required)

In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:

  • Support acceptance testing of modules and systems for GPS/space mission programs.
  • Develop and review test procedures, hardware/software configurations, and data outputs.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of electrical systems and components.
  • Utilize RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
  • Interpret circuit card schematics and support system validation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
  • Contribute to research and development efforts including design, modeling, prototyping, and testing.
  • Support automation of test equipment and data capture/analysis processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency with electrical engineering CAD tools and mixed-signal circuit analysis/design.
  • Strong background in RF test equipment and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and interpreting circuit schematics.
  • Familiarity with software used for test automation and data analysis.
  • Understanding of space flight hardware handling procedures is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to innovate and contribute to design architecture and system improvements.
  • Collaborative mindset with commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
