Location: 500 Lilly Rd NE Ste 100 Olympia, WA 98506
Position: Patient Service Specialist
Pay Rate: $21.76/hr
Duration: 13 weeks with possibility of extension
Expected Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of Experience in medical/healthcare setting.
- 1 year in a customer service role.
- Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
General Duties:
- Provide effective and efficient front office services to patients for all ambulatory/outpatient departments serving a large hospital system in Olympia, WA, with a specific focus at a Cardiology clinic.
- Coordinate internal and external clinic phone communications among staff, patients, and providers; accurately collect records and ensure distribution to appropriate staff via computer and/or manual systems; perform clerical, scheduling, and records activities in support of patients and staff.
- Participates as a fully engaged member of the care team, by demonstrated commitment to service and compassion for the patients of Providence and their families.
General Duties:
This position has an emphasis on processing Referrals for an outpatient Cardiology clinic. This can include surgical referrals and/or procedures. This person will work closely with cardiology staff to ensure timely and accurate authorizations. Referral/insurance experience is a must. Ideally, this will be a temp to perm position.
