Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java/React) position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the development of mission-critical Cybersecurity Manager Applications for the Encryptor Manager product line. The position is based in Dedham, MA and is fully on-site, working on cutting-edge application development using modern technologies and frameworks.

Position: Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java/React)
Contract Length: 12–24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay Rate: $73.51 per hour
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience
Schedule: First Shift
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance required at time of hire (U.S. citizenship required)

 

In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:

  • Develop and maintain mission-critical Cybersecurity Manager Applications for the Encryptor Manager product line.
  • Design, build, test, and enhance full-stack software solutions using Java and React technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop enterprise-level applications utilizing Java, Enterprise Java, and JavaBeans technologies.
  • Design and maintain database solutions using SQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Implement modern front-end applications using JavaScript and React.
  • Develop and support applications utilizing Hibernate and Spring frameworks.
  • Integrate applications with REST APIs and related interfaces.
  • Contribute to secure software development practices and cybersecurity-focused application design.
  • Provide technical leadership, project execution support, and mentorship within engineering teams.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation for continuous improvement and innovation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • 3–5+ years of experience with Java and Enterprise Java development.
  • Experience developing applications with JavaBeans.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and React.
  • Experience working with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of Hibernate and Spring frameworks.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Ability to define project scope, schedules, and technical expectations.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within project teams.
  • Strong communication and technical leadership abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience with WildFly Application Server.
  • Experience working with RESTCONF interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Material UI.
  • Experience developing software using secure coding principles.
  • Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital certificates.
  • Familiarity with SNMP protocols.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity-focused software applications.
  • Experience within defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated environments.
