A healthcare client is looking for a Switchboard Operator
Location: San Diego, CA 92123
Position: Switchboard Operator
Pay Rate: $20.99/hr
Duration: 6-7 months
Expected Shift: Day and Evening shift
Percentage of Travel: 25%
Specific Details around travel including locations, frequency, different locations throughout the same day, etc.: Only if needed between sites (Zion Medical Center, San Marcos Medical Center)
Job Responsibilities:
- Places, receives, and routes a high volume of calls through an electronic key system or a switchboard system. Takes and relays telephone messages.
- Greets, escorts, and directs visitors.
- Provides general information to callers or visitors. Provides telephone directory assistance.
- Has ability to communicate clearly and accurately; uses a telephone system to receive and transfer calls; and shows patience and courtesy when dealing with people.
Job Requirements:
- Required Level of Education: High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of Centrex Operator Experience
- Specific Systems Knowledge Required: Handling multiple phone lines
- Specific Systems Knowledge Preferred: PBX System and Switchboard System and knowledge of emergency codes in hospitals
